About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Test Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring 6-10 years of expertise in software testing with a strong background in unified communications, Contact Center solutions, CISCO, Avaya systems and SQL. This role involves leading testing efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases for software applications, with a focus on Contact Center solutions.
- Define test objectives, scope, and success criteria.
- Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and mentor the testing team, ensuring alignment with product goals and timelines.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration.
- Execution & Management
- Oversee functional, regression, integration, system testing activities.
- Manage defect tracking, reporting, and resolution processes using industry-standard tools.
- SQL Query Expertise
- Utilize advanced SQL querying skills for data validation, backend testing, and troubleshooting issues.
- Analyze database performance and provide insights to optimize queries and system efficiency.
- Contact Center & Avaya Systems
- Test and validate Contact Center solutions, including user experience and system integrations.
- Work extensively with Avaya systems, ensuring feature functionality and adherence to business requirements.
- Quality Assurance Processes
- Implement best practices in software quality assurance and testing methodologies.
- Advocate for continuous improvement in processes, tools, and automation frameworks.
Key Requirements(Must haves)
- Experience
- 6–10 years in software testing with at least 3 years in a lead role.
- Technical Skills
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for database testing.
- Hands-on experience with Contact Center platforms and Avaya systems.
- Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, or similar) is a plus.
- Worked on backend testing, system integration testing, and Docker deployments.
- Methodologies
- Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall development methodologies.
- Tools
- Experience with test management tools like Jira.
- Soft Skills
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Used/exposed to automation tools for executing automation scripts, including AI-driven automation tools.
- Experience with web service/API test automation using tools like SoapUI and RestAssured.
- Worked with modern Agile practices and DevOps methodologies.
- Set up test environments for execution on cloud platforms such as Sauce Labs and BrowserStack.
- Hands-on experience with unit testing, CI, and build tools like TestNG, JUnit, Jenkins, Maven, and Gradle.
- Strong awareness of emerging open-source and licensed tools in the automation space, with a passion for exploring and staying current with new technologies.
